What Is RAF Coffee? A Guide to Our Specialty and Classic Coffee Drinks
What RAF, Bumble and Matcha Tonic are, how our classic espresso drinks differ, and how to pick a coffee menu your event guests will love.
Most guests know a latte when they see one. Our specialty drinks are the ones that make people stop at the cart and ask, “wait, what's that?” If you're wondering what RAF coffee is, or what goes into a Bumble, this guide covers every drink we pour at events, from the specialty menu to the classics.
Our specialty drinks
These four come with our Premium Specialty Package.
What is RAF coffee?
RAF is a creamy, dessert-style coffee: smooth, rich and a little indulgent. It's the drink for guests who like something sweet with their espresso, and it sits naturally next to the dessert table.
What is Bumble coffee?
Bumble is espresso with fresh orange juice. It sounds unexpected, and it tastes bright, bold and refreshing, made for warm San Diego afternoons and outdoor events.
What is a matcha tonic?
Refreshing matcha with tonic water: light, fizzy and green. A good pick for guests who want something energizing that isn't a classic coffee.
Homemade Lemonade
Not every guest drinks coffee, and that's fine. Our homemade lemonade keeps everyone at the cart, kids and non-coffee drinkers included.
The classics, explained
Our Classic Coffee Bar Package covers the timeless favorites. A quick guide for anyone planning a menu:
- Espresso: a short, concentrated shot of coffee, the base of every drink below.
- Americano: espresso topped up with hot water, closest to a regular cup of coffee.
- Cappuccino: espresso with steamed milk and a thick layer of foam.
- Latte: espresso with more steamed milk and a thin layer of foam, smooth and mild.
- Cortado: espresso cut with a small amount of steamed milk, stronger than a latte.
- Matcha latte: matcha green tea with steamed milk.
- Assorted teas: black, green and herbal.
All made with house-made syrups
Every drink we pour, specialty or classic, is made with our house-made syrups. It's one of the things that makes a Holy Coffee cup taste like ours.
How to choose drinks for your event
- Mix familiar and new. Classics keep everyone comfortable; one or two specialty drinks give guests something to talk about.
- Think about the time of day. Bright, cold drinks like Bumble or Matcha Tonic suit a warm afternoon; a latte or RAF fits an evening dessert moment.
- Plan for non-coffee drinkers. Teas, matcha and lemonade mean nobody is left out.
- Consider a signature drink. We can customize the menu, for example a drink named for the couple or your brand.
Where to try them
At your event, the specialty drinks come with the Premium Specialty Package, alongside everything in the Classic Coffee Bar. You'll also find RAF and Bumble on the menu at our coffee shop at 4612 Roseville Rd #107, North Highlands, CA.
